The Committee
The general running of the Club is undertaken by the Committee made up from senior members of the Club. The Committee consists of:

President: Guy Davis
Overall control of the club, chairs Committee meetings and attends A.U. and S.U. meetings regarding the club. Guy started rowing at SUBC as a Novice in the 07/08 season, and is currently in his third year of an Accounting and Finance degree. Since joining the club, Guy has also served on the committee as Treasurer. Guy is now a member of the Men's squad at the club, and hope to take a year out to row full time when he graduates this year.

Secretary: Jess Goosman
Organises race entries, ARA business and other Club administration. Jess is in her third year of a Geography degree and joined SUBC toward the end of her first year. Jess is now a cox with the Women's squad.

Treasurer: Emily Andruzko
Responsible for the financial running of the Club. Calculates and collects debt from rowers. Emily joined the club as a Novice last season, and is currently in her second year of a Maths degree. This year she has made the switch to coxing, and is currently working with the Women's squad.

Men's Captain: Adele Hing
Leads the Men's squad, primarily the senior squad. Adele is in her third year with the club, and is also in her final year of a Geography degree. Adele has been coxing for over ten years, and learnt to cox at Kingston Grammar School. Bringing her knowledge forward to SUBC, she served on the committee last year as Coxes representative.

Women's Captain: Emily Derrig
Leads the Women's squad, primarily the senior squad. Emily has rowed since the age of 13, and learnt to row and scull at Henley RC. She has seen much success in the sport, representing GB in 2005 and 2006 in the GB v France Match, and has also represented England at the Home Countries. Further to this, she has won at Women's Henley in the J184x. She is currently in her second year of an English & Philosophy degree.

Men's Novice Captain: Will Ellison
Responsible for male Novices training and development. Will joined SUBC as a Novice in the 07/08 season. Last season he saw a successful season as a member of the Men's squad rowing in the first VII at HoRR. This seaosn, Will has taken a step back from competative rowing to coach our Male Novice squad, with high hopes of success throughout the year.

Women's Novice Captain: Tatty Pettigrew
Responsible for female Novices training and development. Tatty joined the club last season as a Novice, and saw success rounding off the year with a win in the Novice 4+ category at Reading Amateur regatta. Tatty is a second year Geography student.

Social Secretary: Matt Blakeborough
Organises socials and balls. Matt started rowing with the Novice squad last season and now continues to row with the Senior squad. He promises to bring a new and varied social calendar to SUBC, the likes of which it has never seen before. Matt is currently in his second year of a Geography degree.

PR & Sponsorship Secretary: Becca McKellar
Looks after the Club's PR and seeks sponsorship for both the Club and events that it runs. Becca joined the club last year, and is currently a member of our Women's squad. She is in the second year of an Oceanography degree.

Boatman: Martin Hotton
Responsible for the maintenance of the Club's fleet of boats and the Boathouse as well as the launches. Martin joined SUBC last year a Novice, and continues to row this year as a member of the Men's squad. He is currently in his second year of an Engineering degree.

Kit Secretary: Becks Green
Procures and designs SUBC's racing and training kit, as well as tour kit and squad tops. Becks joined the club last year, with past experience in sculling only, but quickly picked up sweep oar, and saw a successful season with the Women's squad. Becks is a second year Oceanography student.

Webmaster: Tom Plowman
Responsible for the maintenance and updating of the SUBC website. Tom joined the club last season as a Novice, and is currently in his second year of a Law degree. This season he continues to row as part of the Men's squad.

Coxes Representative: Sarah Livingstone
Trains new coxes and acts as the first point of contact for Coxing issues.

Safety Advisor: Justine Colbourne
Responsible for all saftey aspects of the club, including member saftey. Justine must also ensure all equipment is in good working order, and fit for use. She is currently in her second year of a Geography degree, and joined SUBC last season as a Novice.
